Thanks.
I might be old and cold, but you can trust that I will guard the flanks of the banked fires at home.
It still astounds me that some of my fellow citizens do not understand that this war is a fight to the death.

Hm....funny. The libs claim Bush is dumb, not intellectual, not a good speaker, not impressive. Then you visit DU and you SEE how intellectual they are. So, apparently, these are the dem talking points being run out for the public again.
Bush is the right leader at the right time. He does not need to have flowery speech - his simple, clear message works very well for him. We can sense sincerity, honor, dignity, leadership and trustworthiness a mile away. The traits the liberals are looking for are flash, elitism, doubletalk, politician-speak saying nothing. The libs value someone they sense is elitist, someone they sense will go to any lengths for power, who might be a tad corrupt (but ok with them). They are not looking for honor, truthfulness, a strong defense of the country.
They are looking for someone who will tax the rich (to pad the pockets of the poor), they are looking for someone to strip the military and avoid any conflict because they want the money to spend on themselves - not to spend on defense.
They want socialism, re-distribution of wealth, abortion, and the U.N. revered as the highest authority.
You just will not find any of those qualities in Bush and that is why we love and trust him.

Yes she did, but her statement about Bush being more human, and expressing he cared and "felt their pain".
What I was struck with was how she said it - like she believed he was just saying it for effect - not that Bush meant it.
These people still do not believe he's a REAL person. They were so used to Clinton schmooooozing everybody - they don't know real sincerity when they see it; at least Ceci doesn't.

I couldn't sleep and watched Chris Matthews with John Fund ,a Wa PO reporter and someone else and he was talking about Bush going on offense in no uncertain terms. He gave him good marks..could he be getting the message or perhaps he just had a lapse in his vote democrat mode.
Pat Buchanan is against the war and that rules his opinions.Despite his "undisciplined ,unpracticed answers" they all agree the authenticity comes through. That's what we appreciate most,I believe

I watched the press conference, but didn't tune into any of the talking heads. However, this morning I knew the President had been effective because the local news channel covered the following "top stories":
-9/11 omission, especially Ashcroft's testimony
-Vandalism in Prince George's county
-VP Cheney in China
-Restaurant fire in Fairfax County
-Rainy weather and upcoming forecasts

Listening to Imus this morning he has been all over David Gregory for asking such a stupid question during last nights press conference. Dave mentioned that he got a lot of nasty emails about his performance last night.

What is this obsession with libs about apologizing for things? I guess someone already replied with the obvious answer: It is not the apology they seek, it is the assignment of blame that is implied by the apology.
