In a day, you'd have to see the threads about the big things. 9-11 had some really monster threads for instance. Election Days sometimes get big ones.

I did have my 15 minutes with the post about how the President was eating in my undisclosed location for Thanksgiving. I remember that thread!
I'm praying for you guys every day. Know that we are proud of you and that you are doing noble work, indeed.
God Bless,
Tony

I missed the whole press conference and all of the post-conference coverage (it was too beautiful a night to spend indoors). I switched on the TV for the local news on the ABC affilliate and caught the opening of Nightline.
Did it really go as badly as Nightline made it out? It sounds like Bush did a horrible job, particularly of explaining why he and Cheney testified together.

Didn't Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt have a very high pitched voice? Perhaps they weren't the best speaker of their time?

The way this thing is going I will be able to pick right up tomorrow. I'm going to bed.

The main point was made repeatedly...America's resolve...we are not leaving Iraq in the lurch. Patriotic fever wouldn't have been appropriate. He talked about pinning purple hearts on wounded soldiers recently at Fort Hood. Now Nightline is on and the usual suspects are 'nuancing' everything along RAT lines. Yawn.

One critical point that I heard made REPEATEDLY is that failure in Iraq will have unthinkable consequences.

He ducked the question. When Clinton did this, he was called masterful and irritating to conservatives. When Bush does it, the same people say he did a terrible job, is stupid or not answering.

Naw, that is just the usual DNC directed News Media spin. See Bush spoke right over the press to the people. Turn off the Tube and listen to talk radio tomorrow for the real deal. Bush knocked the cover off the ball and the "News Media" are just made because he just proved how irrlevent they are, AGAIN.

If Bush apologized the media and left would take it as an admission of guilt and force him to resign and probably face charges from the international courts....and most of America KNOWS that Bush was not responsible for the 9/11 attack!!! Why should he appologize? I would have been upset if he did. He said it well" OSAMA" did it, not him!!!!!
