When you go into the cedar break, the ground is sapped. Once you cut down all the cedar, the soil/ground comes back beautifully. Interesting. Looks like Dubya is accomplishing something useful even when he's on vacation.

On PBS Oliphant said that having spent time with the Kerry campaign recently, it was a breath of fresh air to listen to W speaking with such clarity, focus and emphasis ! David Brooks, the other panelist, said the on-air apologies like Clarke's etc were uneccessary and not appropriate.

Ah, the standard FR response, attack the man and ignore the points.that would presume that anyone here would think of you as a man. which is unlikely, due to the utter lack of evidence.

Well I am a college professor. I have been for 20ish years.
At one time I was as foolish as you and thought brains had something to do with being quick on one's feet, not stumbling over words etc. I learned from many many many many years of dealing with many many many many students that brains show up all sorts of ways. Lots of time the student who learns the most does not sound that good in class. Lots of times the student who asks lots of smart sounding to other students questions is FAILING.
So you know nothing of how smart Bush is from a press conference. You do know that he was smart enough to:
1. EARN a college and advance degree from an Ivy league school.
2. Attract and surround himself with very very very smart people.
3. Win the US presidency.
Those three alone probably make him smarter than you.

Wow, you know I wonder how he got SATs (long time ago SATS, which were worth more) in the 1200's if he is so darn stupid.
He must have really had a pull with his Harvard professor to get through Harvard with an MBA with such a low IQ.
You don't get to be president if you are stupid. He may not talk with the Clinton brilliance, but he ain't stupid. He's a plain speaking man. That's doesn't mean he has a low IQ.
Gore had SATS in the 1300's - I wouldn't vote for him, but I never considered him dumb.

Here, let me help - " Kerry staffers - sorry, journalists Quislings actually asked Dubya..."
That was perhaps the worst press conference I have ever seen. *Sigh*
I think Bush has a problem with TV cameras. The radio interviews I've heard have all been much, much better. I agree that many of the questions were ridiculously stupid, but Bush wasn't forceful enough in swatting them down. I know he has been before, but what was wrong tonight? There were several good points in his answers, but his execution was just terrible.
He also should've said much more in response to that VIETNAM 2!!!!111/QUAGMIRE! rot that came up in the first question. All he did was say "I disagree."
Kerry is a much better speaker, but in the end I'll be voting for the person more capable of killing terrorists and the politician *gracious* enough to let a prole like me choose how to spend my own money, not Botox-boy.

She is a must see. She was pissed and articulate. I hope they replay it on Rush.

when you make a point, it will; be recognized; that you have an ear infection caught by fecal contamination is not a point.

Ah, the standard FR response, attack the man and ignore the points. That's what you did, dimwit. Bush has an MBA.
You have an MBA?
You didn't make any "points." You just called Bush "stupid."
I haven't called anybody stupid since the fifth grade.
Of course, that may have been last year, for you.
Why not make a "point," sparky?

Bush...has an IQ of 85-90--are you sure you are on the right website--moveon.org might be more to your liking.

Know when I decided Bush was for real? When I saw that his blue jeans were worn, torn, and faded. After watching Gore and Clinton campainging in brand new jeans as a way to "look the part" when you just knew they would never really wear jeans unless they wanted to appeal to the "common man." Bush meanwhile is a real guy who not only looked comfortable in jeans but looked like he had worn them before.
