"Blacks vote for dems, period"

Wrong! Bush will get a higher percentage of the black vote in 2004 than any recent Republican candidate. That's because more of them are starting to see how the dems have misused them all these years to grab power, yet they never seem to be needed when VP candidate is being sought. Bush treats blacks fairly and equally and this does not go completely unnoticed. Besides that, Bush didn't sell his own down the drain; Lott should have been more attuned to how his remarks would be perceived. He was unwise and he paid a price. End of story, period.

Some peoples memories are rather short.

Bush made a VERY public announcement, condemning Lott. Where is the like comment on Dodd???? It wont happen. Republican partisans had better start holding their people accountable.
