I made a point to announce to our family weeks ago that this film was a PC "message" film and we would NOT be going to see it.

I took the boys to see "Walking Tall" instead. Not the best movie, but had a good moral theme underneath and a good hero figure.

I'm sorry, but for my family, without Buford Pusser, its not Walking Tall.

Sorry to tell everyone this. but Buford Pusser was not a hero. He was a thug with a badge and probaly killed his wife for starters. I have close ties to the McNairy-Alcorn counties area and can provide links to good information about Pusser. There is a forum hosted by people who were there then, if interested Freepmail me and when I return, I will provide them, or check with Chapita who can provide them too.
