COMPETITIVE??? WHY in the world is a blood drive, competitive?????! Unbelievable!

That happens all the time. Every year around the time of the big South Carolina-Clemson football game here, the two schools have a competition to who can donate the most blood. It's silly bragging rights, nothing more.
