Notice how the concept here is to keep someone from speaking freely, as opposed to countering them with free speech of one's own. Pizza Hut is not trying to silence anyone. They simply don't want to be associated with an issue that may offend a certain percentage of their customers.

I agree with you. I wasn't referencing Pizza Hut, but the protestors complaining to it. Such complaints are very often followed by threat of boycott, etc., with the desired result of pressuring the sponsors to drop their advertising and thus keeping the information from being presented due to lack of sponsorship.
