We still have it, but so many avenues of exploration are closed that it is frustrating to our nature. Wait until somebody says, "There's gold!' and then try to stop the Rush.

While we Americans seem to be losing the pioneering spirit.That's because we've gotten smarter. Pioneers catch the arrows, the lawers and politicians arrive later and reap the benefits. As soon as regular safe space flights are established we'll send our slimiest and sneakiest and cheat them out of it. It's a democratic tradition.
