Bush is probably headed for victory in spite of the shameless and overwhelming opposition of 95% of the media, UNLESS there is a last minute surprise.

The clintons will certainly try to engineer a surprise, as they did in the last election.

There is also, I'm afraid, at least some possibility of a stock market crash next September. We're about due for one. If there is, it wouldn't in the least be Bush's fault, but he would get the blame for it.

Failing that, I have good hopes for a sweeping victory and a media blowout that will discredit those liars with more and more sensible people.

The polls show that the Bushies have made a strong case against Kerry. But they still seem to be acting as though they don't have to make the case for Bush. That needs to change soon, or the polls will continue to show a close race.

Worth considering. I think that, in several areas, Bush is allowing his opponents to make him look much worse than he ought to, or should allow. Rice did a fine job in front of the 9/11 commission, but the fact that only a few months were given the Bush administration to reform what Xlowntoon did almost nothing to improve and actually exacerbated in many ways for eight years is in danger of being overlooked, for instance.
