I'll start off with a few of my own Favorite FReepers, who've done so much over the years to educate, chastize, amuse, and challenge me. Do I agree with all of them all the time? HAAAAIIIILLLL, NO! But no matter what, their presence on a thread will get that thread a look and a thought from me.
In no particular order, some of MY Favorite FReepers...
68-69tonkingulfyatchclub: Tonk is the tireless Coastie who runs the Canteen threads. His heart and abilities are at all times tuned to the welfare and morale of America's military. He and his band of merry Canteeners have many times brightened this Sailor's day, and comforted me at dark times to numerous to count.
tpaine: tpaine can recite the Constitution from memory, or at least seems to be able to. He holds the line for the Libertarian/Constitutionalist FR contingent, and he always adds enough abrasiveness to his comments to assure that his victims spool up like a jet engine. Always a pleasure to read, even if one disagrees.
poohbah: Pooh is an amazing clear-thinker untainted by too much zealous ideology. Frequently his posts are a welcome breath of sanity on emotionally overheated threads, and he's not afraid to voice an opinion which might be counter to the "prevailing winds" of a thread.
archy: The best source on FR I've found for weapons and firearms information, pics, links, and historical information about same. I thought I knew a lot about guns, then I met archy. Not to mention, he is a perfect gentleman and has enourmous patience with those who know less than he. A great FR resource.
PatrickHenry: The ringleader of FR's evolutionist band of brigands, PH posts some wonderful scientific articles, and he and his lads and lassies, most especially Ichneumon and Vade Retro can provide what seems like thousands of links and evidence at the drop of a fossil. Many's the night I've watched them, over many hours, demolish nonscientific arguments and educate those who wanted to be.
Modernman: A libertarian-leaning legal eagle who I've watched defend the principle of individual liberty with good humor and impeccable manners in the face of flames that would make Godzilla proud, MM takes everything thrown at him and never seems to get angry. His debating skills are an example of how to win one.
MurryMom: One of the very exclusive club of hard-core Leftists with the tolerance of the famed and feared FR Moderators, MurryMom can be counted on to cause an instant spike in all FReeper's BP. As FR's resident liberal punching bag, her presence on a thread will attract many people who really don't care about the thread itself, but who line up to hurl abuse at her. In that, she performs a valuable service...as a target and a venting mechanism.
These are just a few of mine. There've been others, some have been banned in fact. IMHO, in most cases we are all the poorer when that must occur. FR is made so much better because of its more colorful members.

Perhaps your favorite FReeper has a way with words; an excellent writer. Maybe they are someone highly experienced in a particular field, with knowledge that many do not posess.

Pokey78 for my Mark Steyn pings!
To: HenryLeeII; Temple Owl; Tribune7; Dr. Scarpetta; MeekOneGOP; adam_az; Constitution Day; ...
Hmmm...
Well in no particular order:
Henry Lee II- my FReepmail FRiend who shares my somewhat twisted sense of humor.
Temple Owl- Fellow Owl
Tribune 7- Great on the PA pings (and, I suspect an employee of a much posted local paper along with another mentioned PA Freeper. I'm on to you fellas.)
Dr. Scarpetta- Who I only realized a short while ago was not a Doctor with the last name of Scarpetta.
MeekOneGOP- possibly the nicest FReeper I've met.
Adam_az- Who's had more than his share of timely scoops.
Constitution Day- Much mentioned I'm sure, but a very funny individual.
Martin Fierro- Who shares my love of these type of threads.
Dead- Keep up the "Bangladesh Ferry Disappears into a Whirlpool" thread, and put me on your B.F.D.W. ping list.
Presidio9- a genuinly good and caring person.
~Kim4VRWC's~ Who has appreciated my bizarre attempts at fiction.
Domestic Church- Who's given me good advice.
BadRay- My fellow Toomey supporter
General Havoc- Who's done great work in getting me in contact with Toomey's people, along with BadRay.
Fatima- for her timely pings on Big John Street's sneaky dealings upstate.
ciexyz- I'm on the other side of the Specter Toomey race with her, but, gosh darn it, you've got to admire her pluck!
I know I've missed more than I've included so, without getting maudlin ("WITHOUT? When does that start? This post sounds like a freaking Academy Awards Acceptance Speech!") I'd like to thank all the FReepers who've given me a laugh, advice, or shared their knowledge with me!

I make a point to read certain Freepers regularly, but perhaps my favorite is a guy who doesn't post much anymore -- Southern Federalist.
To: All; Southack; Howlin
Freepers are the most insightful, creative, intellectually honest bunch of people (you all know that already, I know) I've ever met... Choosing a couple out of the hundreds that I admire is difficult...
I'll only pick two, and make it clear that there are hundreds of others that can easily be added to the list as well...
I've lost countless hundreds of work hours during the past couple of years cause of FR, and I've enjoyed nearly every minute - working on Wall St. makes it tough but having an office, where others can't really see what I'm surfing - I LOOK busy, usually that fools enough of the people most of the time...
Southack - for his unbelievable insight, optimism, perspective, political savvy, historical knowledge, etc etc etc...
Howlin- for (seemingly) being on every single thread, especially the live threads. She must NOT have a life (;-) so the least we can do is honor her with this award! Just teasing Howlin, you're great.

No way am I going to even attempt this one. There are way too many to list.
I will say that if it were not for JohnHuang2 and kattracks this forum would never have taken off the way it has. Back in the old days, these two freepers would pull in about 90% of the articles.
I also have to mention Ragtime Cowgirl who has faithfully pulled in the military threads that have kept us all informed and and kept up our moral throughout OEF and OIF.
Other than that, I'm not saying a word.

Mine are at the moment, "x," always erudite, always fair, who has a deep knowledge of American history and culture, Whiskeypapa, who has an encylopdedic knowledge of the Civil War, and is an excellent internecine debater, which debates have taught me much, Jwalsh07, a special friend, fair minded, and a superb debater and researcher about matters he cares about, Sinkspur for his skill at cut and thrust that I don't have, and don't have the inclination to acquire, but enjoy, Sabertooth for his ability to debate civilly, and superb research skills and hard work on issues that he cares about, even though we disagree a fair amount of the time, Dales for his hard work on political horse race issues, Deport for his unfailing civility and common sense, KQQL for his continual monitoring of all those noisome polls, Ambrose for being informed and fair, and for being tough minded on political and legal matters, and Luis Gonzalez when I want to watch some real action on a thread, even if it makes me wince. Some of the heavyweights on economic issues have departed, and I miss them. I am embarrassed I can't remember their names exactly, but one was miteconomist or some such.
Thanks to all of you.

There are many others, of course, but personally, I steer clear of the political world pretty much these days, so don't get involved in those threads.
