What kind of psychopath did it take to run this country?

ahh I've got an anwer, the type of psychopath is called a "sociopath" and that would be someone who is "I" centered without conern or the ability to live by the "normal" rules of society cause rules don't apply to them.

They are "special" and "smarter" and better than everybody else. So they get to do whatever they want, to whomever they want, whenever they want and convince themselves that "everybody" is doing it.... like say.... Ted Kennedy, Dashole, Clinton, Gephardt, any liberal Hollywood "genius" .....The reason these sociopaths don't ruin our country is that conservatives or guns in the hands of citizens prevent them from completely taking our liberties and property.

All you have to do is look at what Clinton/Reno did at Waco or Ruby Ridge.

My only regret in life is that I never served in The United States Marine Corps!

My emotions at seeing that picture almost overwhelm me. The long olive drab line from Tun Tavern to Fallujah is eternal. I am humbled that I was granted the privilege of serving with such gallant and brave men. Our brother Marines will never let our country down.

Major Pete Farnum said: "We went into pause but the enemy kept attacking us on the western side of the city. We had to defend outsrevles so we asked for permission to return to offensive operation. This was granted." There was no further word from Bremer or the coalition's deputy director of military operations, Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt, who had earlier insisted the suspension of offensive operations was still in force.

There should be no further word from Bremer or Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt except to announce the unconditional surrender of the enemy. All terrorists should surrender or be killed. No amnesty. No retreat. No deals.

This is what the Israelis had to put up with.

We should thank God for keeping us supplied with men both bold enough to kill the wicked and humble enough to kneel in prayer.

The word "Brotherhood" doesn't even begin to explain this picture. Prayers to the fallen...

I couldn't agree more. On Sept. 11th 2001 I went to the recruiting center in Antioch California and tried to enlist in Marines, ARMY, Airforce, and even National Guard. In all instances I was told that I was too old and that I should concentrate on giving blood. Both of my sons are Marines, one just recently got back from Iraq and one just went; I would do anything to fight alongside with these brave lads. If only I had been more motivated in my youth

"a tank opened fire on enemy positions. One of six shells punched a hole in the minaret of a mosque... "

Paging Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Larry King, Susan Sarondah(?), Elen DeGeneres.... etc.

I have to say that SADDAM was probably the right man for his job.

It takes somebody like him or Stalin - to keep those Rascals on leash....

The parallels to Tet and Hue seem uncanny. Except they aren't as well supported as the VC & NVA, they aren't being protected by our Executive Branch (only State Dept and half our Legislature), and they don't have 55K men to lose. They know they will lose this fight, they just hope to win in November

We need this fight, IMO, not only to end this war but to put the world on notice. Our 60 year old cycle or retreating from victory is over. The Marines and Islamist that die in this fight will be paying the price of Democrat ankle grabbing. God bless the Corps, to hell with the Islamists.

Pretty funny, but there seems to be a return to nuclear (quantum nucleonic ???) powered aircraft.

Your description is almost perfect. But I suggest instead of rascals, you call them dogs. These feyadeen are today and forever, Saddam's hounds. Without them he would have been toothless.

....Not to preach to the choir here, but if we fail in this fight, or in November, we will lose more than this war and our young men.

I have also been thinking of the parallels to Tet and Hue offensives of 67. Hue got most of the publicity but the Tet offensive had the "truce" aspect worked into it also.
Although the carnage resulted in the defeat of the Viet Cong as an organized military force, Walter Cronkite declared our defeat in NAM on the evening news and we gave up back home.
The NVA also took horrendous casualties during TET but they won their own political war by having the native V.C. force eliminated. The force in Faluga WILL be wiped out but others in the wings(Syria and IRAN) will profit from their losses.
We need to siege this place and see who masses and comes to the rescue. Relief columns would stay outside the walls as we use the fools for bait. If they want to fight after a week or two, then go at it.

There might be a couple of offsetting differences. One, no media hack has the authority Cronkite had. Thank God. However, IMO, where the N.Vietnamese didn't win the war by their political victory in Tet (even as it was), they won by having the Socialist Party (Dems) cut off all support to the then effective ARVN. This clout was only gained after Watergate. The Islamist can't afford a Tet, but they do need a Watergate.

The DNC has the blood of over 2 million Vietnamese and Montainiard on their hands. They are rolling the dice for several million more freedom loving Iraqis.
