MarMema wrote.......Oh yeah. I had the pleasure to be sitting at a table at work with two women who were sharing their Croatian heritage with each other and the rest of us. Then they started making jokes about the Serbs. This was last week. Not a good week for me. Or most of us. After I regained my composure I gave them a nice history lesson on their heritage. Made sure to tell them several times about how horrified the Nazis were at the barbarian nature of the Utashe. And it has not gone by the wayside, for me, that the pope has been silent as this takes place in Kosovo. All after his yapping here, there, and everywhere about his great love for us, and now, hmmm, nothing. I search the news for "pope" and "Kosovo" and nothing comes up. You would think a man who so desired to court us and claimed to have such a need to be united to us would have a few things to say about such obvious persecution, and about our tremendous losses. But then, maybe not. Looks like I was right about this pope all along. Thank you, Alexy, for your leadership and for being careful about your associations.

You are obviously very stuck with that age old Balkan mind set of hate not to mention this same hate that has poisoned your mind in believing that the Pope does not care or condemn the evil that is going on in Kosovo. He means the world which includes the Kosovo. Do you only think that evil is only happening in Kosovo? Your narrow mind set keeps you in the Balkans so it is reasonable to see why the rest of the world does not matter.

Maybe you should look up on the Internet and read John Paul's Easter message? You are really out there in left field by mentioning the Utashe and how barbaric they were, then in the next paragraph mention that John Paul has nothing to say about Kosovo and the suffering of the Serbs there. I do believe you are wrong in what you say and spread on FR which is obvious in your dislike of Catholics or what is it you are really trying to say? Had the experience once of seeing what was left of a young civilian Catholic Croat girl who had volunteered to deliver some food to some old folks at at place called Pivare near a Serbian Village of Okucani in southern Croatia back in 1993. The medical examiner counted 42 bullet wounds that riped through her young body. She apparently was not dead enough after the first 10 or so fatal wounds. The trail of two individuals led back to the Serbian side i.e. Okucani.

Every side including the one you are very bias about were equally responsible for the carnage that took place during the conflict. Remember Srebrenica or was that OK or maybe Vukovar? Arkan a good guy? Do not take the moral high ground when it comes to the barbarity that took place and is taking place in the Balkans my dear boy because you sir are pissing in the wind. The bias that you present to the world does nothing but make one wonder if you would have been very content to have been one of those two Serbs that killed that innocent unarmed Catholic Croat girl who was just trying to help out some old people? Charity is a virtue of being a christian?

You may want to talk to Wonders and get a second opinion because she had worked in Southern Croatia back in the bad old days and I am sure she will be happy to give you some lessons on how stupid you sound. No one came out of it with clean hands so don't be so quick to point the finger.

"May world leaders be confirmed and sustained In their efforts to resolve satisfactorily the continuing conflicts that cause bloodshed in certain regions of Africa, Iraq and the Holy Land."

Should we assume The Holy See is satisfied with the Kosovo development?

If not, why it is not mentioned?

Truth is a virtue of being Orthodox.

Wraith...I'm trying to figure out if you're a throwback to the croatian roman catholic ustashi nazi's who have been practicing human mass murder since at least WWII or one of the muslim psychopathic "inbreds" imported by the croats to assist in "processing" Eastern European Christians into extinction. You'll probably want to play coy and not answer, but forget about using the old alibi: "everybody does it" in the Balkans. Everyone on FreeRepublic knows what you are. You people have been persecuting and murdering the Christians of Eastern Europe ever since the ottaman empire all the while bellyaching that you're being picked on.
