Pointing out the structural problems the led to AQ's freedom of action in CONUS. FBI and CIA could not share information. She's giving props to Louis Freeh.
No MI-5 in US.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

the legal impediments--the FBI & CIA not working together.

She is animated, smiles alot, has an expressive face,,she is no robot. Honest, sincere and smart as a whip. And determined. She is a winner.

Rice says she must emphasize the structural and legal impediments that existed on sharing information.
She goes into great detail.

Peter,
Note the President doesn't want to swat flies.
What a dig at Slickmyster and Kerry, Does anyone see this except me? Oh was that sweet.
Now, who has photo-shop and can take pictures of Slick and Lerch and put fly swatters in there hands, we will have great fun with this for weeks....

I'm coming to this thread late, and it's probably been mentioned, but I don't recall ever seeing this many photographers at one of these things.

I like how they damn the CLinton administration with faint praise by saying they took the unprecedented step of keeping the Clinton personnel.

Kristinn is on the phone with me right now. He says he was able to give a copy of the DC Chapter report to Richard Ben Veniste, Byron York, Michael Isikoff, Gordon Peterson and about twenty other members of the media.
Kristinn gave an on-camera interview to CNBC for a report they are doing on the activities outside the hearing room. He is waiting to give an interview to the Italian TV network that is covering the hearing.
Kristinn will have to leave soon to go to work. He did not see Condi Rice arrive. She came into a secure entrance away from the crowds. There has been a steady stream of at least 100 people in line to get into the hearing room. It is very busy outside.
