Condi says that the September 4 National Security directive on Al Qaeda and terrorism was the FIRST national security directive of the Bush Administration...NOT missile defense, NOT Russia.Yes! Loved the emphasis she put on the 'NOTs'. Lots of nervous coughing in the room.

It will be interesting to see if there's a leak from the commission and if they even ask Gore about that "airport security" campaign payoff.

Slow down, Condi. You're talking too fast for my typing and reading skills.
To: San Jacinto
Oh, I bet that they have already done that.

Just wait until she gets to respond extemporaneously.
The Dem/Libs are going to regret this day big time!

[I'm sure the liberals are hoping for a good 'gotcha' moment or three.]The liberals are hoping to charge her with perjury. Hillary wants this woman gone.

Is it me or is this the most overblown event since the y2k bug. She will say exactly what she said on Meet the Press.

Withim a month of his taking office 43 was telling Pakistan to sever its ties to Taliban and AQ.
To: kassie
It must be so diffiuclt for a smart, self made stright shooter like her to have to deal with this lot. They would have me in fits.
To: YaYa123
Good points, yaya.

Policies weren't working. House of cards.

She's ticking off the actions of the administration and the failures of following the policy of the Clinton Administration.
She's name dropping, and listing how to change and improve foreign policy.

My guess is that Liar Clarke is conferring with network operatives at this very moment, preparing for the rebuttal interviews which will be instantly unleashed to counter attack Condi. I'd look for a push to have him appear before the commission again...

I don't think she sounds as shakey as she does p*ssed that she has to waste her time before this panel of pomp and circumstance.
I think we missed the very beginning of this hearing. When the clown car arrived with all the committee members.

"President Bush revived the practice of meeting with his CIA director on a daily basis." I heard that and had to smile. There's an old Washington bit of lore that once there was a small airplane circling around the White House. Some kook or another. Anyway, rumor had it, with a wink, that it was the CIA director trying to get a meeting with Clinton.
TWICE! My understanding that the guy (Tenet?) only two meetings with Clinton during his entire eight years.

Liar Clarke (great handle) refuses to appear on Fox News. He's a coward as well.
