If you're going to have an Easter pageant, have the Easter Bunny visit and pass out candy to kids and have an egg hunt.

If you're going to have a re-creation of the Way of the Cross, use performers portraying the actual characters. How hard is this to figure out? Kids of course will get upset over seeing the Easter Bunny be whipped and beaten.
