I thought I heard the sound of One Big Can of Whopass being opened. Seriously, it is about time this happened. We have been pussy footing around with these insurgents long enough. The carrott was not working, so it is time for the stick. From and election stanpoint, better to do this now than wait for later.

I have been watching the media hysteria over this and it has been predictable, sadly predictable. The media is calling this another Vietnam. The problem with this approach is that it has NO shock value left. The media called this another Vietnam before, during and immediately after we invaded. Every little blip or difficulty and you can count on Matthews crying a river. By the way, did anyone notice that Iraq really started getting the media's attention again shortly after the jobs report came out on Friday? To be sure, major events are happening in Iraq, but the media's hysteria would lead you to believe that this is all new. In a way, the media is trying to make Fallujuh and this one rogue shia cleric look like they represent every Iraqi City and every shia muslim. Holy Wag the Tet Bat Man!!!

It is also sad to watch Kerry, and Kennedy de facto root for the enemy. Kerry seems to be lamenting the fact that we are handing over power on June 30th. I wonder if what Kerry is really saying is: "no fair, you can't take away my campaign issue!!" Kennedy pronounced this Bush's Vietnam, yet the hysteria he displays betrays his real thoughts, i.e. " PLEASE GOD, MAKE THIS ANOTHER VIETNAM, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE!!!!" Nevermind that Vietnam marked a defeat for the U.S., and Kennedy is cheering for Iraq to be another one.

Vietnam marked a defeat for the U.S. allright. THe DEMOCRAT ADMINISTRATION who started it, then would not let the GENERALS fight it should be ASHAMED of what they've done.

They need Bush to loose, so that KENNEDY (JFK) can still try and look like he was a good president (which he was NOT)
