I've been sitting in this chair for the last year convinced that Iraq was nothing other than a cocked weapon at the head of the real enemy or enemies nearby, chiefly Iran.

If Bush did not mean to draw in Iran, then a serious strategic error has occured. If, as has always seemed likely, the WOT was to be conducted as promised - against all/any terrorist states - then we're in for a helluva show.
