A lot of people just listen to what they want to hear...next time Bush, Rummy, Bremer, etc talk...listen to what they are saying...not what you want to hear... Sage advice. And also, take a moment to ponder the words used, e.g., "Political turnover" does not equal "military pullout." It never did, and yet the media presentation encouraged a perception of equivalance.

A lot of people are at work when Rummy & Bremer particularly are talking, and have trouble listening to the whole thing -- therefore they mainly hear the soundbites the media presents.
This post not intended as an insult to them or you, just a statement of the facts.
