The moderator always cuts the rambling Specter off while Toomey is always to the point.

Arlen is as close to a liberal is a Rep can be. Abandoned rural Pa on gun issues. I am ashamed to say I went to a fund raiser for him years ago. He will say one thing to your face and do another. Of course with all the votes he makes on bills that have no chance to pass or fail he will put his vote in the most politically correct column for debates such as the one tonight.

This debate is meaningless. Nobody's watching it. Specter isn't gonna lose. All Toomey does is soften him up to make it more likely he loses to the Dem in the fall.

Toomey isn't far right; he's far out. ;-)

Can't believe Spectre devoted the first half of his closing argument to his father's bonus.

Spector = Liberal RINO(a democrat in a not so convincing disguise)
Toomey = Conservative(representing the core of Republican party beliefs)

Now with these two choices in a Republican primary why would anyone vote for Spector(besides the dems that are reportedly switching parties just for this election so they can vote for Spector)? And just because Spector MIGHT have a better chance at winning the senate seat it is pointless to elect a candidate that is unreliable and uncommitted to standing up for his party's base beliefs.

Hey, the small segment of our society that votes in primary elections is watching it.

"If Arlen loses (crossing fingers)...."

So, if Pat Toomey wins the nomination, will Senator Santorum, the RNC & GOP then trow their full backing and support behind candidate Toomey?

Just as we Virginians need to replace Senator John Warner ["Country Club Republican RINO"] with someone like your Senator Rick Santorum, Pennsylvania needs another Senator like Rick Santorum...

Too bad he doesn't have brothers just like him living in both VA & PA. Now, that would be too much to hope for...
