To build it, they imported Africans, Chinese, and a spattering of other races as a workforce.

I don't think that the person acknowledging the contribution of the many different people who eventually became Americans, is rewriting history.

I do think that fantasizing about America being built strictly by Europeans, and ignoring the obvious contributions of non-Europeans is rewriting history.
