There was no looting in most Hispanic dominated neighborhoods, including East Los Angeles. It was mostly limited to the Hispanics living in parts of the formerly black ghetto that joined in the action, and in the Pico Union district, and parts of East Hollywood. About 90% of the Hispanic neighborhoods, where 90% of the Hispanics lived, were quiet. That may well be. But in the areas where looting did occur (from south central to the fringes of Beverly Hills and the valley), most of the looters were Hispanic (and very often non-citizens).

Most of the looters were not Hispanic, and a fair number were Anglos. I saw some looting a store in Hollywood on TV.
