Yeah. That shut him up. I was a middling student of WWII history, but as a youngster I'd seen The Battle of the Bulge (1965, starring Hank Fonda and a young, pre-5-0 James MacArthur) on TV, and never forgot the scene depicting the slaughter of our POWs in the Ardennes. I realize that the movie was hardly a documentary, but my understanding is that the handling of the execution was true to the facts.
