I don't teach --- this guy is from India --- the one writing that editorial --- I don't think he came to all the right conclusions in his piece --- he seems to be pro-Bush and pro-amnesty but encountered something other than that when he questioned his hispanic students --- who voiced some serious concerns about it. I got the impression he believes that these kids are immigrant kids themselves who just assimilated --- but it's very likely that his students were not immigrant kids --- but rather hispanic kids whose families have been American for many generations.
