Good point! Mudskippers are basically gobies. That is, they're fish. But these particular gobies are reinventing amphibianism where head-to-head competition with existing amphibians (which presumably would have a head start) does not exist.
Once in a while, nature repeats itself. Eyes seem to have been invented independently several times. Walking and flying animals seem to have gone back to sea more than once. (See under whales, pinnipeds [i.e, seals and sea lions], sirenians, and penguins.)

Enviros, please try to be just a tad more consistent with your use of the english language. "Eyes seem to have developed independently by accident several times" would be a more intelligent and precise construction.
