Welcome HOME Mike.

Mystery : Give him a gentle kiss so as to not bump the nose.

Good for you for becoming a full time student. Do you know what classes you will be taking next semester? I've been figuring that out tonight.

I told my mom that I wasn't going to be working next semester so that I could spend more time helping with campaigns and stuff. I'm also going to try and get more involved with the college republicans both on campus and at the state level. I will hopefully have more time to FReep by not working. I've really missed that this year.

You should look and see if the college you're attending has a college republican club. It would be a lot of fun. :)

Maybe your son should great you at the door with pipping hot cookies after school.

Have fun next year being a full time student. Let me know how it goes.

Now that sounds like a great idea. Turn about it fair play.

It's the standard Mom answer. Works every time (well almost). I evn use that one on my students.

I have a fairly new student. He started to argue with me about a question that he already had the answer to- NO. The boys in the Biology class told him not to argue with me because he wouldn't win.

I'm late in replying, but I have never in my life cried thru a movie like I did thru My Dog, Skip. I hate crying thru movies. Another one I cried thru was ...oh bother, I can't recall the name. It had Julia Roberts marrying, and she had diabetes. I was blind-sided by it. My son has diabetes, and Sally Field did an EXCELLENT job of capturing the emotions of being a mother of a diabetic child. Then, she died!!!! Thought I'd go into cardiac arrest in the movie theatre.

Yes, My Dog, Skip was excellent, but have tissue handy.

Hi PatriciaRuth, (I like your name),

Dogs, I don't have a problem with; I am allergic to cats!

And whenever I'm at someone's house who has cats, I do not even touch them; they find me intriguing, since usually visitors try to get them to say hello and so on, but all I want is for them to stay as far from me as possible. So, being contrary creatures, that makes them seek my attention, many times I have had cats pestering me because they can't understand why I am displaying aversion to them. Not the typical cat-to-human interaction, eh?

As for poodles, one of my aunts owns them, and they are cute little rodents, er, I mean canines.

I think it's a perfectly valid Mom answer, even if some of the "experts" think every single decision should be explained. It's much easier than explaining our little neurosis, pet peeves, personal preferences, and so on. (But it doesn't work as well with my husband!)
