I did the "source" thing, but when I posted it (on "compose") and hit "preview" the columns were somehow not where they should have been....

You are also most welcome -- be sure to pass the info in the chart along to your Liberal friends ---- to back up our (conservatives') contention that the media/their cronies ARE liberal....

Thanks for posting this in the first place. Very useful.

In future, you should get the web accessory for Internet Explorer at Microsoft which allows you to "View Partial Source." That enables you to copy over most tables of this kind in the same format as the original.

Search for the file webdevaccess.exe on the Microsoft website. It was designed for IE5 but works fine with IE6.

Thanks for the nice words....hope the chart comes in handy for all those who weren't aware of where the donations have been going....I have that "source" thing on my computer, but, as I explained to someone else here, the chart didn't look right when I viewed the "preview" when composing the thread....

An observation:

Organizations which are directly accountable to their members (corporations) are largely Republican and/or moderate (for lack of a better word).

Organizations composed of compulsary members and which are essentially unaccountable to their membership (unions), are almost all Democratic.

Just a generalization.

Thanks for the post!

Gee, the union I'm part of CWA, (Communist Workers of AmeriKa) donates 99% to 1% in favor of the DemoRats. While the NRA who is portrayed by the media as a rabidly right wing group donates 14% to the demoRats and 86% to the Republicans.

The companies that build houses strongly support Republicans because we support policies that result in more homes being built.

The unions that represent carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, etc... who build the houses strongly support Democrats because they disagree with the war in Iraq, tax cuts for the rich, school vouchers,...

No wonder home builders are having to turn to illegal immigrants to do the work. Either American union members are obviously too stupid to do the work, or they are too busy protesting the war in Iraq.
