Thank you, everyone, for your warm thoughts and prayers.
I know Dad didn't tell you all, but he was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme in December. (So excuse his typing since, and before, then...he lost a lot of vision before he even realised it was gone).
We had three months to prepare, and we tried to make the most of it. He passed on absolutely surrounded by family.
I know your prayers mean a lot to him. And they mean a lot to me, and the rest of the family reading these replies.
With Warmest Thoughts and Thanks,
Penelope

Doh! Now I'm using my husband's acct (home again until the service on Tuesday) because it keeps telling me my browser is returning an old cookie. Who wants old cookies? I'd return it too!
So, anyway, it's still me, posting any way I can. :)
Services for Dad will be Tuesday, March 30, at 11 am at Fort Richardson in Anchorage. There will be an evening celebration of his life at the VFW on Tuesday night.
Thank you again, especially to the poster who pasted up so many of Dad's great quotes. I know my family reading this from Anchorage will get a kick out of reading what he wrote.
Warmly, Penelope

Penelope, I remember your dad and his posts well. He was indeed a wonderful man and it was great to know him even if it was just in cyberspace. Condolences to your family.
