Just for the record, I was unable to get to Free Republic starting around 8 this morning until a few minutes ago, around 3:45 pm PST.
Of course I could not find my notes about alternate ways to get in or to go to Yahoo groups, so it's been withdrawal time all day today. I hate it when that happens.

I had the same problem. Then I looked up the domain registration and used one of the name server addresses at the bottom of the listing (NS.ROBINSON-DEFEHR.COM) with nslookup.exe to find the IP:

I used http://gandi.net/whois?l=EN to find the domain registration (cheese eating domain lookup monkey).

The normal lookup is still failing for me.
