indeed it would.
runs on literal "impulse" power.
about the size of a WW2 battleship.
able to carry a couple or three dozen astronauts.
able to round trip to mars in 145 days.
able to carry a small launch space shuttle of it's own.
a massive payload in the 100,000 pounds range.

less expensive to launch and maintain than the shuttle.
if we could just find a way to do the nuclear thing, without upsetting the enviralwhackos...


Am I right about it's capacity as reported in the articles?

With a 3 foot hull, those inside would be much much safer than in a shuttle.
