The GOP should have anticipated that this Commission was going to be a partisan debacle. Unfortunately, there are no attack dogs for the GOP like Ben-Veniste, Roemer and Goerlich. Clarke may be discredcted, but the media won't play it that way.

I don't think the media will have a choice. This new info is HUGH! Granted, before FNC and the internet they could get away with it. Not now.

I knew this commission would be a bunch of partisan whackjobs ever since the Democrats like Carl Levin were calling for investigations into the "rush to war" with Iraq as far back as the fall of 2002. This commission's partisanship doesn't surprise me at all.

Clarke may be discredcted, but the media won't play it that way.

They will try to rehabilitate Clarke, but this is too big for them to ignore. It helps tremendously.
