Now we're discussing how we let OBL's family and Saudi citizens fly out of the country, even though other planes were grounded.
Clarke refused to approve the request to let them fly out of the country and recommended to the FBI that they look at the names on the passenger manifests and that they approve it.
Clarke asked someone in the FBI to deal with this issue.
The FBI approved the flight.
Hint to Clarke: America does not hold hostages.

If we kept those Saudis here, it would have tied up the resources of several hundred law enforcement officers nationwide to do protection details when they were needed elsewhere. The Saudis only left when flights were restored.
