bump I saw a V V A W guy defending Kerry of Fox claiming the fellow speaking about assassinating senators was a flake and not taken seriously.

Was that Randy Barnes, talking about Scott Camil?

Barnes' story has been all over the map about Camil, and John Hurley, leader of a Vets for Kerry org. (the name escapes me) has been pressuring the witnesses to Kerry's presence at the Phoenix Project to back off of their stories once Gerald Nicosia's FBI files made Kerry's denials non-operational.

Kerry was at the meeting, the meeting was moved twice that night to discuss the Senatorial assassination plot to avoid surveillance. The debate was heated, restricted to the highest level officers in the VVAW, and the vote was reportedly close.

I believe it was Randy Barnes, although I forget who he was talking about. IIRC, the interviewer was John Gibson who was supportive of Barnes.

Anyone that is aware of a plot to kill Government officials, must report it. I agree. But this tie with the two thugs, seems questionable.
