Are we surprised that the lamestream media lies about President Bush?
I wonder if Paul Harvey will use this as a "and now for the rest of the story" bit?

Well, I think that even if NASA says $500 billion, we're pretty safe doubling it. I love space exploration, but I just can't justify the money when we are in the middle of a war that we absolutely have to fight and win. Life does not go on as usual, especially when our fighting forces are underarmed, underpaid, underprotected, undertrained and understaffed. This is not a jab at the Bush administration, just me wishing that our fighting forces had everything they needed to crush our enemies, and without having to impose the kind of stress and strain that we are putting on our Guard troopers.

Yadda, yadda, yadda.
I have published here my own back-of-envelope calculated costs--based on only 29 years of experience in the aerospace industry. My conclusions were perfectly in synch with the values the author tries to discredit.
His arguments are bootless, and stem from a profound and invincible ignorance.
