I am in some horrible emotional pain. I don't know quite what my next steps are. I'm very confused and upset. I might need to travel up to CT and help Eileen take care of the affairs and also to settle business issues.

After that, I might enter treatment in a proactive and preventative fashion so that I do not have a drug relapse. My feelings are terribly mixed up right now and this is the sort of thing that could put me back on a bad life-course. The business can wait.

Because Matt is dead, the only thing I can do that is constructive is to stay sober by any means necessary.

Consent will have to be from me. He has no family to speak of. Eileen maybe. But I was in daily contact with him, weekdays. I'm probably the closest to family he's got.

We just lost our grandpa last night, and this has given me some comfort, and maybe it will help you also:
