Stennis spent over nine hours alongside the fast combat support ship USS Sacramento (AOE 1) transferring over 900 pallets of ordnance and supplies in preparation for an upcoming deployment in support of the ongoing Global War on Terrorism. The BLU series bombs are an improved version of the older Mk. 82, 83, and 84 series bombs. BLU series bombs use a more stable explosive and are less sensitive to explosion. Stennis spent over nine hours alongside the replenishment oiler USS Sacramento (AOE 1) transferring over 900 pallets of ordnance and supplies in preparation for an upcoming deployment in support of the ongoing Global War on Terrorism.
