There nothing like being laughed at publicly to kill a politician.

Particularly when the politician being ridiculed has no sense of self-depricating humor whatsoever. Dubya can turn a mean caricature on its head and have people sympathize with him. Kerry has no such ability.

Biggest advantage for Bush is his ability to sum up complex crap to a single line "digestable" thought -

add on his wit, he will demolish Kerry in a hurry -

I love W when he is decisive, steely and not weak-knee

when he cracks about Kerry's claim of foreign leaders - he said "that's ok, I will keep my campaign in America" - the quote is priceless and deadly for Kerry - this is the undertone "us vs them" argument - there is no way anyone can win on this argument ins the South, the central mountains, and even states like Oregon, NH, WV, PA.

then his wit against Kerry's taking both sides on every issue is just as deadly as effective.

Looks like Bush is getting his game back. We need W more like his mom than his dad. We need the wit and strength of Barbara Bush. I sure can see that a lot in the Bush speech/style today.

Should be interesting.

(on the Iraq WMD issue - I think there is a chance the "misleading" anger claim from Kerry could backfire, imagine a case where Bush citing he did what he did based on the best info he got and has his best intention over it - and yet Kerry's old claim about Saddam has WMD and a threat and yet saying the President is misleading us - one could link the Kerry's style in taking both sides of every issue and argue - maybe he thought saddam has WMD in 1998 and now he doesn't think so only after we found nothing in Iraq. So can you trust a commander in chief who is constantly shifting positions and second guessing decisions being made.)
