Whatever happened to Bush's Energy Plan? From day one of his administration, Bush wanted a new comprehensive energy plan.
That was over three years ago.
Democrats stopped the plan at every junction.
Now they are trying to use the high gas prices as an issue in the election.
If Bush's plan had been quickly adopted in 2001, the domestic energy supply would have grown by now.
Tens of thousands of jobs in the drilling, transport, petrochemical engineering and pipeline construction industries would have been added to the nation's payrolls.
Democrats are bad for jobs.
For every Democrat turned out of Congress this fall, I predict 1,000,000 new jobs will be created.

How did the democrats prevent anything from happening? the gop is in charge, the adults remember?
Let's just consider for a moment that there is enough "politics" being played that might hold up legislation that would promote energy independence.
Why didn't mr. straight talking, straight shooting cowboy president at least threaten to veto teddy keg's education pig roast? Or something else, anything else?
The answer is, no matter how much anyone dislikes it, president bush is having everything his way.
This IS his agenda this IS his policy.
Cynically yours

Typical, the dems care more about power than our Country.
Even if it had passed, it wouldnt have made any difference this year
I'm not sure of that. While the mechanics of pumping more domestic oil wouldn't be in place, OPEC could well have lowered the price enough to discourage oil exploration and drilling here.
We need to drill, drill, drill.
Get the wells in place, then use OPEC oil but have the capacity to bypass them if necessary.
