because they have their spin all set before the speech! Absolutely, I often heard 'commentary' that has nothing to do with the speech/event/whatever. The real hacks like McAwfull make it obvious.

"It was very good, but the guys on abcnbccbs were trashing our President the SECOND he was off the air. Jennings" I'm curious about the timing of this.""
Absolutely! All three were sickening!

No sooner was the speech over than John Roberts on CBS was citing poll numbers.
Never mind the content of the speech. I didn't stick around to see if that topic ever came up.

Right now, the only folks watching TV are soap opera junkies and welfare cases. Hey, I gave up my soaps to FReep. How about us parents who are home with our kids because the teachers decided to take a meritorious day off?

Saying what?Krystol thinks he needs to "make the case"(ad nauseum) to justify taking down Hussein and the Baathist terrorists and that he needs to appease the Eurosocialists.
I think its bad policy and bad politics.

speech was tedious and unpassionate...I know, I know it's a commemorative occassion...however, the rhetoric was very dry. You're wrong....but you knew that even before you got cute with that dumb assessment.

I hope you got a little extra for your car because of the bumper sticker.
To: jwalsh07
I checked all three rapid fire....and it was disgraceful
disgusting as bad as Kerry himself! I never watch the big three, I just had a feeling it was worth checking them right after the Bush speech. Anti american as well!
To: SandyInSeattle

...No wonder Kerry's taking the week off...
My exact thoughts! Here's the President in a room full of coalition flags and representatives of those countries and the Kerry/Matthews/Lib cabal still screech 'unilateral.'
Surfing channels, saw Biden's face and I thought - here is Kerry's VP candidate. Remember Biden saying that he was meeting Chirac and others about Bush not giving them contracts?
To: woodyinscc
LOL, not hardly Woody, it had 350,000 miles on it. I had to pay them to cart it away. I'm getting more stickers one way or the other though. :-}
We got 8 inches of snow on the gorund again. Killing my short game.

I'm not worried... the President looked confident and I am confident and so are the American people. There have got to be other young people becoming aware of political matters who will react to the media's attitude toward President Bush as I did as a young adult back during the Reagan years.
I well remember the stunning disconnect between what I heard and saw of Reagan and the media's interpretations and pronouncements about him.
If anything the anti-Republican agenda is even more brazen than it was then, and after this plain spoken yet profound speech, hearing the blather coming out of some of these people can only help President Bush.
