Dog...I was wondering......is this in or near a village? If not, why aren't we launching about 10 B52's and 5 B-1's per hour and absolutely pulverizing the wretched place?

I think this is an operation the Pakies need and want to do themselves. I also think they want to make real sure they get all the bad guys. Kinda hard to positively identify anything after the Heavies get done with them. The Evil ones aren't going anywhere. Everything I read suggest the Pakies have doubled up their corridor. If worse come to worse, they can just pound them with arty and starve them out.
I think this is really important for the Pakies to do. I think the Pakistanie Govt had people in leadership positions who wanted a "Live and Let Live" arrangement with Al Qeda after they got kicked out of Afganistan. Al Qeda really screwed that up when they tried to kill Mushariff. One of the best tactics historically in these sorts of border wars is to get the native to fight the natives. There is an old Arab saying that goes something like this
Me against my brother,
Me and my brother against the clan
The clan against the tribe,
The tribe against all other tribes,
All tribes against the infidel.
The Pakies now have a blood feud with Al Qeda. Any support from us should be second hand, not direct unless they ask for it.
