No-knock serves absolutely no legitimate purpose, IMHO, except in an absolute life-or-death situation. And even then it's imperative to know your target and plan accordingly.

I agree 100%. One of the unintended consequences of widespread use of no-knocks is to cow the sheeple into submission, and enrage the others into shooting at possible home invaders in disguise.
