Pres. Bush Health Care Access Event (C-SPAN)
C-SPAN ^ | March 16, 2004 | G.W. Bush

Posted on 03/16/2004 9:28:31 PM PST by AZLiberty

Speaking at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC, Pres. Bush holds a "Conversation on Health Care Access".

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Government
KEYWORDS: healthcare
President Bush -- once he got warmed up -- put on a great performance playing a conservative Oprah to a sequence of small business owners concerned about healthcare costs and government burdens.

Here's the direct RealVideo link. I think the original program was longer than the 30 minutes captured here.

Are you sure it's on C-Span? I have C-Span on right now and it looks like some kind of policy seminar on terrorism. A guy named Anthony Cordesman is speaking right now.

The Cortesman / panel and Bush event have been opposite C-SPAN I & II a couple times this evening. Bush event good, nice to see factual conversation & discourse vs. Hanoi John French Kerry lecturing people & giving them that dirty Clintonesque finger he's always flaunting around.

It comes across well on streaming video. Although the C-SPAN Web site advertises it as 30 min, it turns out to be over 59 min when you watch it.

On now.

W needs to use this kind of forum more often. He is incredibly effective and entertaining.

That was very well done. That proves he is doing what's best for small businesses, or at least taking a step in that direction. Of course, he never brought up his liberalism (eg. his socialized medicare bill). But anyway, I had never seen that assertiveness and articulation in him before. He had some very good points.
