I smell a rotten fish here.

He was on his way to what should have been an upbeat event and he shoots himself?

I could buy firearm accidently discharging or maybe he was having a stroke or heartattack.

We don't have many diligent agents now we have one less.

Prayers for his loved ones.

Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel 6/27/00 "……Police are investigating the apparent suicide of an U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service agent's, whose body was found on the Don Shula Expressway around 4:17 this morning. Miami-Dade County Police spokesman Ed Munn says the white female who was in her 50's had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He says it appears to be a suicide. Munn said the woman was not the INS official who participated in the Elian Gonzalez raid. The body was discovered on the expressway by a passer-by. It was located under an overpass that carries Florida's Turnpike overhead, said Munn. ……"
