Given that, and given the instability and turmoil in that region, I don't think Christian missionaries should be there now. They can only add to the overall chaos and problems.

If not now it will never happen. The middle east will always be a problem until islam has lost its grip there. Islam is the problem unless it is gone it will always rise again in the future, like it has done time and time again in the past for war.

But I think the only way to achieve Islamic cleansing is the same way the Muslims enforced Islam over the entire Middle East, North Africa, and, for a while, all of the Balkans, Iberia, Sicily and southern Italy - by the sword they so much admire.
