Upon receiving my reprieve, I promptly dropped the offending tagline in its entirety. I switched over some weeks later to an anti-Kerry tagline. Within a few days, someone posted an answer to a month-old comment I had made with the "wetback" comment tagline, and by a strange coincidence, while I was answering that poster (using the new anti-Kerry tagline), the same moderator objected to my tagline. I thought he/she was objecting to the anti-Kerry one, since I had dropped the other one about a month earlier, and I proceeded to sarcastically lambaste the moderator for objecting to the tone of the anti-Kerry tagline.
It became obvious to me what had happened after the reason for my next suspension came up, when I tried to post, but by that time, my avenues of appeal were closed shut. My suggestion is that some sort of appeals link be made available for especially longtime members who feel that perhaps there might have been some sort of misunderstanding. Of course, I wouldn't give such a thing to the trolls, but anybody who's been a Freeper for at least a year should have a chance to at least state a case, or clear up a misunderstanding.
