My question is:
Since the well-timed bombing in Spain (just prior to elections) caused an obvious shift in voting...do you think that now such tactics might work in the United States in the future? Seems to me if someone were to repeatedly kill innocent civilians (i.e. shopping malls, schools, etc.) that the public could be persuaded to force politicians to concede to the demands of those perpetrating such. Jesse Jackson has successfully used intimidation and financial blackmail. Why can't others jump on the bandwagon and take it a step further? One just has to have the will to kill, it seems.

John Kerry refuses to name the mysterious "foreign leaders" who supposedly gave him secret endorsements. But he doesn't need to. We know of one foreign leader who's openly endorsing Kerry.
The newly elected Socialist prime minister of Spain, who got his job thanks to Al Qaeda and is pleasing them by withdrawing his troops from Iraq, had this to say just before the Madrid bombings:
"The first thing I will do when I am elected is to go to the United States and support John Kerry."

No surprise here. We kinda knew this was coming. That is what he said before the election. The Spanish people have now become cowards in the terrorist's eyes and they don't even care. Amazing!! And the democrats here in this country on the forums are loving every minute of it.

While Mr Zapatero said his first priority was to tackle terrorism "in all its forms", he is thought likely to do it in a very different way than the outgoing government. As a starting point, he will fight terror by placing the terrorists hands firmly around his own throat.

Spanish troops are in Iraq?????????
I thought we WENT IN ALONE?
The new leftist of Spain says Iraq caused more terrorism?
I thought IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TERRORISM?
I thought OBL and Saddam and Sons hated each other? And would never work together or for each other cause? I thought Saddam was hated by Islamics?
What happened to "no blood for oil", and "revenge for daddy"?

Jose - Boy, you could have said something with a ring of truth such as '...most Spaniards were not in favor of the war...', instead you spout the lie '...The war in Iraq was a disaster, the occupation of Iraq is a disaster...', thanks for showing your true colors.

I wonder how Spain managed to get a good leader like Aznar elected considering how leftist the main body of Spanish voters appears to be? If Spain thinks it can sit out the war on Islamo-fascism by sticking its head in the sand and appeasing these murderers, it is sadly mistaken. It will regret its slide back into pacifism and noninvolvement. It will be safe...for a while. And then the Islamic b------s will be back.

What Spanish troops? John F-ing Kerry says Iraq was UNILATERAL action by Bush. Therefore, no other countries can possibly be involved.
</end sarcasm>
Seriously though...Spain's new socialist leader giving in to terrorists means the Moores won after all. It just took a while.

This unexpected change in the government of Spain and their immediate action to surrender in the war on terror might well encourage terrorist acts against the US prior to the November elections. God help us!

Very nice. Spain takes a terrorist hit and they choose to cower like a Frenchman in a biker bar. Appease the aggressors, it worked in two world wars (not).
Spain just threw al-Qaeda a major victory by showing them that their terrorism will be rewarded.
