From the joy I felt in having the conservatives win elections in Greece to my feelings of sadness that Spain went back to the socialists who failed her before.

If this is true then this is a win-win for the terrorists!

Would only offer a thank-you to all the 'sheepla' of Spain.

The libmedia, of course, will translate the facts a bit differently.

AQ may need funds- just threaten Spain and they have their own piggy bank.

I wonder if Spain needs to buy any oil from Iraq?

"...Socialist Party today claimed victory ..."

See. This is what happens when you share a border with France!

Seriously, this should not be a surprise. If you'll recall, the Spanish Civil War back in 1936-1939 was a Communist attempt to overthrow the existing government. If Franco hadn't won, all of Europe would have eventually been behind the 'Iron Curtain'.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds in the U.S. For the past year we have been hearing 2 things: 1)There is no link between Al Qaida and Saddam Hussein 2)The mission in Iraq was a unilateral one. If there is no link between aq and sh, then why would they (al qaida) attack a U.S. ally in the Iraq effort? Also, if the war was a "unilateral" effort, then it would be impossible that the cowardly (sorry bill maher)terrorist attacks in Spain would be attributed to Spain's support in Iraq, because according to the lefties, we had no support in the 'unilateral' war effort. The socialist party should start distributing prayer rugs and burquas immediately, as well as posting signs pointing to mecca, because they have basically sent a message to the islamofacist terrorists, that all you have to do is hit us with a bomb and we will instantly capitulate to your demands. Expect Spain to institute islamic law within the next 50 years in order to appease the terrorists. A Kerry presidency is not an option.

I only have one thing to say to the voters in Spain. You have possibly succeeded in protecting yourself from harm or death by the terrorist by delaying their ultimate final wrath so that you children pay the ultimate price for your cowardice.

Today is a monumental day in the history of Islamist terror. Through the senseless slaughter of hundreds of innocent civilians, they've achieved their greatest victory in years.

I guess that slaughter wasn't that senseless after all.

Nice work, Spain. You couldn't have gotten it more ass-backwards if you tried.

I'm just thinking this through, trying to wrap my mind around this...

- The socialists say don't go to war in Iraq, because Iraq is in no way, shape or form connect to Al Qaeda.

- Spain joins the coalition against Iraq.

- AQ attacks Spain in retaliation for joining the coalition against Iraq.

- The socialists say " See? We told you so!"

- Spain's citizens acquiesce to the leftists, and deliver them to power.

Did I miss something? This is the most impossibly stupid turn of events I've ever witnessed in my life.

Dammit, this is a bad, bad day.

Well, I have relatives in Spain, let me tell you how they see it.

They opposed joining the "coalition of the willing" in the first place. Their opinion; everyone is entitled to their own.

The Conservatives supported the US in the United Nations on the beleif that Iraq had WMD and was in violation of UN resolutions. IIRC, Aznar survived a vote of no-confidnece, strictly on party lines on this issue.

Al-Queida warned America's allies that it would strike against them if they stood by her.

No WMD were found in Iraq.

Al-Quaida struck at the Spanairds, killing 200 of them and injuring 1,500.

American could not and did not protect Spani from Al-Queida.

The Spanish government falls. Al-Queda wins one, gets on the score board big time.
