Yes, ma'am, Currituck is on the coast, as is Kitty Hawk.

Kitty Hawk is fairly developed, with a lot of hotels/motels/restaurants for the tourist industry.

Currituck (actually, the lighthouse is named this; the closest towns are Duck and Corolla) is less developed. Both areas have more of a "summer home" or rental property feel to them.

Something that struck me when I made my trip to the Outer Banks is that this whole area has virtually miles of deserted beaches.
