I believe that this AirTran situation happened on a flight from Florida. It was one of those stories that you hear for one or two broadcasts and then no additional information is given. I did a number of searches for info. yesterday, and found nothing, even on the ABC website. The newscast was on an ABC affiliate.

Thank you for checking, I think we all have had that happen. A story you hear that just disappears. This one sounded very odd and very possible!! We will have to watch for this happening again.
