You are correct, at one hotel in Laughlin, they are 51 maids short.

The guests can make their own beds, but there would not be anyone to cook the food and wash up.

There is usually a line for the buffets for about 16 hours a day.

I don't remember the figures on the number of meals served each day, but would estimate 5,000 to 15,000 per day and there are 10 or more casinos in Laughlin.

Laughlin is only a small resort on the Colorado River, can't even guess at the people deported from Las Vegas.

The KDWN talk radio, out of Vegas, seems to point out the fact that they are facing California style illegals coming there.

Thanks for doing those searches. I searched for the Counter-Terrorism Prevention Group and couldn't find their website. You would think that an organization putting out that sort of info would have a website.

You're right Indie (Doug). We will all be forced to become warriors if attacks hit our shores again. Although we don't know what faces us day to day with the threat of terrorism, we know God will help us to persevere. Should it be necessary, we will defend our families and our land to the death in the name of God and country. I can guarantee if we were attacked at our home, we'd be taking some of them along with us! I feel very fortunate to know my fellow FReepers. I've learned so much from each of you.

No I am all the way across the state. When you look at the weather map on tv we are in the point of North Carolina that borders Georgia and Tennessee. 15 miles and I can be in a different state.

According to Colonel David Hunt al-Zawahiri is probably dead. US SOF were operating inside of Pakistan, and they got him. The clean up has been given to the Pakistani military and they will officially get the credit for the kill.

Mansoor Ijaz also says that they know it was al-Zawahiri early on because Pakistani SF captured a mujahedeen fighter who broke under severe interrogation and used al-Zawahiri code word name/ Mansoor says he has two sources reporting that al-Zawahiri's code word was used.

"And what is up with the $99.00 membership charge for NEIN?"

That's not for NEIN. The NEIN page is free.

That is for a special HQ-intel report, similar to what the DEBKAfile does in its subscription based newsletter. Lots of websites offer additional info for a price.

Yes, of course; however the resulting wave won't be large enough to be a very fearsome weapon. If it would, then many of those Pacific nuclear tests from 40 or 50 years ago would have caused lots of damage to the shorline.

You need some kind of amplification beyond the power of the blast to move enough water to cause significant damage - hence the focus on using the device to release energy in the volcano or unstable mountain soil.

They are all going to find new homes eventually. They will be quite spoiled before they go. So glad Harley is "back to normal". My birds both hate my husband. Bites from a Blue & Gold Macaw tend to be severe. She kisses me and bites him. Like someone else posted earlier, the care of my pets is a major concern if something awful happens. I have concern for those whose animals (chickens/livestock/horses) are outdoors when God knows what happens to us all.

We could not be happier. MY husband was born in Ducktown so we moved up here about 10 years ago (had to get out of Atlanta). I am considered a local now. It has been like going back in time about 50 years and we love it.

That's exactly what I've been saying. There's corruption everywhere and I guess it's more or less accepted because if our ex-President could get away with sleaze, why not judges too? I keep reading about releases of prisoners from Gitmo and there seems to be no names, reasons for apprehension or location where these prisoners call "home." It would be of interest to me to know if they were all from one city, state or country or another. Am I out of line to think that way? Obviously there must have been some reason they were apprehended to start with and now they are once again part of our neighborhoods.

I'm familiar with Laughlin, my mom used to work there.

You're right, if the deportations are in proportion, there would be a lot more gone from Vegas. I suspect that there is probably some money in Vegas "greasing the wheel" to keep that from happening there.

The KDWN talk radio, out of Vegas, seems to point out the fact that they are facing California style illegals coming there.

I used to listen to KDWN when I lived in Vegas. That's also when I started Freeping. It was about the only radio station in Vegas I would listen to. Also was Art Bell's original station...I used to listen to him all of the time on KDWN.

I remember that I was so disappointed when I first moved there because I you couldn't get Fox News on the cable system. I later found out the reason for that. The owner of the cable system in Vegas is a hard-core liberal and refused to carry Fox, even though there was a huge public demand for it. What a jackass.

For sure, all are dangerous. The concentrations required for ignition of vapors, ignition temperature(flash point), rate of flame spread can vary widely.
It would be nice to know how many gallons of exactly what the barges were carrying, and if the CG expects the stuff to sink or show up on a beach somewhere.

There are two groups and two articles referenced to this guy. I posted them both about 3 days ago. I will see if I can find the other one.

They said some Taliban were caught at the border and this is how they knew where the camp was, and it was a HVT and that they are spewing slowly

Very slowly I hope. If ya catch my drift...

Except for the addition of a million people, Vegas is the same.

Be careful, when you talk about Art in the "old Days" you are dating yourself.

I have listened to KDWN since 1978.

It looks like you can get them on the computer, at kdwn.com.

For those of you who enjoy talking about old movies and music, there is a show with Pete Moss that is on Sunday night from 1am to 6 am.........

It isn't a subject that I have an interest in, but do listen
if I am going to sleep, as it is safe to be going into the sub concuss mind.

Pete should be heard, he has a following of people - old and - young, and to listen to him deal with him, is to hear God giving a hug to the lonely.

It is a treat to hear people in their 90's calling him and he makes it seem as tho they are the most important call of the year. What a bright light he shines into their lonely lives.

Just as Free Republic does into mine.
