There have been some terrible accidents there. It's a left hand turn across traffic in a curve. I saw a motorcycle wiped out there last summer.

I used to work at Parris Island/Beaufort Naval Hospital. I know the curve you are talking about. I saw a couple of accidents there myself.

I remember this area when I was staioned in Beaufort. Gardens Corner can be scary, especially if you're on a bicycle.
